  Abstract
  The intension of the study is to investigate the socio-economic status of the people of Manipur by utilizing various sources, such as official documents and departmental data. The study aims to identify trends in the socio-economic status by conducting a thorough analytical assessment of data and information obtained from various departmental functions, spanning the pre-British, British, and present periods. The study also seeks to suggest sustainable alternatives for improving the socio-economic status. To gather comprehensive and reliable data, several departments were visited and interacted with to conduct a professional and detailed study. The study`s findings suggest that both public and private sectors must implement more efficient strategies and economic models to improve socio-economic conditions. The study emphasizes the need for competent governance, investments, and entrepreneurship to elevate the socio-economic status of Manipur`s people, which is the primary focus of the study.

  Opportunities and Challenges of Pineapple Smallholder Farmers in Improving Rural Livelihoods: A Case Study of Donge Village in Zanzibar

  Abstract
  The paper examined the benefits resulting from the production of pineapple among smallholder farmers in Donge village in Zanzibar. A case study research design was important in generating data out of 40 smallholder farmers using a mixed approach. Questionnaire survey, focus group discussion facilitated the gaining of the data on the problem. It was found that there are opportunities resulting from the growing of pineapple mostly enjoyed by youths in the study area that call for the attention to deal with the parallel challenges influencing an effective production among smallholders. It was found that smallholder farmers benefit in the form of livelihood improvement in the day to day lives depending on the pineapples. The evidence was seen in enabling members of the community to have the capacity to own modern houses, means of transport, and cellular phones among other essentials of needs. There was evidence of the high level of influence of the challenges on pineapple farming involving pineapple production that include access to markets, cost of inputs and transportation and cost of labour. It was concluded that there are opportunities in the production of pineapple that require the attention to handle the resulting challenges of markets, transport, and cost of inputs. It was recommended that attention should be called upon dealing with the systematic challenges that influence the ability of smallholder farmers to maximise the potential opportunities and enjoyable socio-economic benefits of pineapple farming in the area.

  Psychological Contract and Organizational Commitment: A Study on Non-Tenure Local Government Unit Employees in General Tinio, Philippines

  This study investigated the relationship between psychological contracts and organizational commitment among non-tenure local government unit (LGU) employees in the municipal hall of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. It examined how employees` perceptions and feelings towards the organization impacted their work commitment and performance, emphasizing the importance of their commitment to organizational objectives and effective work for the organization`s success. The research aimed to describe the psychological contract and organizational commitment of non-tenure LGU employees in General Tinio, utilizing a quantitative approach and a three-part survey questionnaire administered to 125 respondents who had been working as non-tenure LGU employees in the locale for at least one year. The majority of the non-tenure LGU employees in the municipal hall were aged 24-29 and 30-35, predominantly female, married, and vocational graduates. However, the employees` demographic profile did not show a significant relationship between their psychological contract and organizational commitment. Nevertheless, the study revealed a significant association between the non-tenure LGU employees` psychological contract and organizational commitment, indicating that higher levels of organizational commitment were correlated with higher levels of the psychological contract. The research suggested that implementing reward and award programs, as well as engaging in team-building activities, could enhance the psychological contract and organizational commitment of non-tenure LGU employees. Overall, this study provided valuable insights into the factors influencing the psychological contract and organizational commitment of non-tenure LGU employees in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, offering guidance for strategies and interventions to strengthen employee-organization relationships and improve organizational performance.

  Abstract
  the study aims to emphasize the significance and requirements of artificial intelligence (AI) as a fundamental element for the effectiveness and efficient functioning of organizations. Human resource management (HRM), known for its dynamic and labor-intensive role in management, has embraced the utilization of AI to enhance efficiency and optimization in their operations. To comprehensively explore this subject, a wide range of case studies have been examined. The study relies on secondary data and employs a descriptive approach to align with the study`s objectives and importance. Within HR activities, AI finds notable applications in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and robotics. Moreover, this research highlights how AI can alleviate the burdensome tasks associated with recruitment, training and development, and employee support, thus contributing to the organization`s mission. Consequently, it can be inferred from this study that AI not only reduces human effort but also complements employee competence, thereby becoming a valuable asset for the organization.

  Secondary education service delivery has been identified as a key service in Local Government Authorities (LGAs) in Tanzania and can be improved if the financial transparency is exhibited by LGAs. However, the factors which undermine financial transparency and secondary education service delivery in LGAs remain an empirical challenge, and extant literature in developing countries is still sparse. The purpose of this study was to explore why, after a decade of fiscal transparency reform programs, many developing countries in particular Tanzania is still lagging behind in secondary education service in LGAs and fiscal transparency mainly KMC. To that end, this study adds knowledge on the factors which undermine fiscal transparency and secondary education service delivery in LGAs and the ways forward in Tanzania. This study used a case study research design, purposive sampling was used to select 86 respondents and the methods of data collection were interview and documentary review while data were analyzed through content analysis. The findings indicate that the level of education and the embezzlement of public funds and, weak oversight of the citizens negatively affect secondary education service delivery in LGAs. It is therefore concluded that KMC financial transparency process should be part and parcel of KMC so that citizens may trust their government after being furnished with the financial information and improved secondary education service delivery in LGAs in Tanzania. This study recommends that KMC should make sure that relevant financial information about the finances and other local government services should be made public timely on request including to the public, media, civil society organization, and citizens.
