Abstract :
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the trend of annual and seasonal rainfall and the effect of climate change in Haraz watershed. In order to achieve the objectives of this study, according to the statistical situation and considering the appropriate distribution of stations, 4 hydrometric stations in different parts of Haraz River were selected from the upstream part to the outlet of the basin along the Caspian Sea. According to the length of statistics, period of the water year 1968-1969 to 2008-2009 for 41 years were selected as the common statistical period. In this study, one of the most common non-parametric methods of time series called Mann-Kendall test was used to evaluate the trend and if there is a trend, the Sen test was used to evaluate the ascending or descending trend. According to the results of this study, among the 4 stations surveyed, it was found that there is no specific trend in the annual series and in the seasonal series of this section, only Mahmoudabad Haraz station near the outlet of the river had a positive trend, which has been a sign of the effect of climate changes in winter. The results of Mann-Kendall and Sen tests show that the two river stations in the region, including Nemarstagh-Nemarstagh and Panjab-Nemarstagh, are located in a completely mountainous region, the lack of a clear trend of precipitation changes that can be a reason for temporary stability of climate change. The climate of this mountainous area is basin, which can be quite fragile and sensitive, and will depend on the future climate change , the impact of human activities in the area and its effect on temperature, humidity and rainfall in the region, as well as major climate change of the world. Also, positive changes in the precipitation trend near the outlet of the watershed in winter in Mahmoudabad-Haraz river station, considering that most of the agricultural lands in the plains of Mazandaran are dedicated to rice cultivation and due to the increasing population in recent years, this issue can be studied.
