Abstract :
Sustainability and clean energy are words used very often in the tech-world which is growing at an alarming rate. The importance of these concepts is stressed upon often, but it is very rarely applied in day to day activities. It is necessary for big corporations, like hotels and hospitality buildings, who run large operations, to make use of clean energy in order to maintain a sustainable environment and save depleting resources for time to come. Misuse of energy not only leads to wastage, but also affects the environment adversely, contributing to global warming. This paper aims to look at hotels in Bangalore and where they stand in terms of clean energy usage and the methods, they use to impact sustainability and save energy. Through content analysis data is analysed and it is based solely on the information provided by employees of the hotels and the steps taken by them to reduce energy consumption in buildings.
