Abstract :
In the present study, researcher is focusing on the role of technology in service innovation. The services are a major part of economic activities and the world today is dominated by the service sector. The services are intangible, inseparable, heterogenic, perishable and have fluctuating demand. The service innovation indicated several changes related to various practices of services in an organization, and characteristics of the final service offering. The organizational capability, marketing capability, service innovation strategies, Service- dominant and Resource – advantage were focused during the study. The study turns out that the innovative technology enables and supports improvements in the field of services, which may lead the organization to get sustainable competitive advantage in its present marketplaces and also to establish new markets through innovative and improved services.
