Abstract :
Finance is regarded as lifeblood of any business organization, thus it is very much essential to evaluate the financial performance business organization. The purpose of financial analysis is to diagnose the current & past financial condition of a company & to give some picture about its future condition. Financial performance analysis is vital for the triumph of an enterprise. Financial statement analysis is used to identify the trends and relationships between financial statement items. Both internal management and external users (such as analysts, creditors, and investors) of the financial statements need to evaluate a company`s profitability, liquidity, and solvency. Financial performance analysis is an appraisal of the feasibility, solidity and fertility of a Business. The main objective of this research paper is to analyze the financial position of the selected automobile companies for last five years. The present study is based on secondary data. Financial position is analyzed by using different ratios. From the study, position of Maruti Suzuki & Tata Motors is ascertained.
