Abstract :
High consumption of water in deinking waste paper process leading to choose a appropriate method of treatment wastewater. So for several ways is used for treatment this kind of wastewater. This effluent includes chemical substance and dyes so the conventional methods of wastewater treatment cannot degrade the high pollution. In the present work, electrical coagulation was evaluated for color reduction, COD, turbidity and heavy metals of wastewater that discharge of de-inking process. A pilot-scale study was designed by constructed of Plexiglas`s and 4 iron ، aluminum electrodes were used separately. The effect of the following operational parameters: current density, pH, variable concentrations of NaCl, and electrolysis time were evaluated. In the best conditions, high removal efficiency of turbidity, COD and TSS was obtained that reaching more than 81.4% of turbidity removal, 78.9% of COD removal and 83.4% of TSS removal. Results shows that electrocoagulation methods can reduced a significant portion of these pollutants in the shorter time compare to conventional methods.
