Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to identify the gender disparities in cayenne chili farming. The data used from horticultural plant farming household survey results in 2014 by Statistics Indonesia. The method used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and calculation of revenue to ratio indicator (R/C). The result of this research concludes that cayenne chili farming gets benefits, both male and female farmers with a ratio of R/C greater than one. However, there is a gender disparity in cayenne chili farming. Gender disparity occurs in the dimensions of production, production value, income received, and farming feasibility. Male farmers dominate and produce values of each dimension that are always greater than female farmers in cayenne chili farming.
