The issue of human rights violation is a global phenomenon. This study examines human right violations and coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic in Nigeria and also looked at the philosophical conception of human rights. The study was guided by three objectives which are to; analyse the concept of human right, examine human right violations in Nigeria during coronavirus disease pandemic and lastly to recommend how issues of human rights violation should be handled by government. The study exposes some recorded cases of human right violations at the break of the pandemic in Nigeria and concludes that the Nigerian government have handled issues of human rights violation with kid glove, consequently, failing to address the issues properly.
