Abstract :
COVID-19 has come to a global crisis with leaving of death, economic and business desolation, it impacted on the health system, business, social movements, workers and employment openings. The results show that coivd 19 has negative impact on the socio-economic condition of small businesses. According to the study, the majority of 32 percent of small company owners were illiterate, 74 percent of small business owners were male, and 64 percent of respondents were severely affected by the epidemic. According to the data, 90 percent of business owners suffered a loss in monthly income below Rs. 10,000 as a result of their company`s temporary shutdown following the Covid-19 pandemic. Only 10% of company owners with monthly incomes between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000, such as wholesalers, vegetable sellers, seafood shops, and secondhand stores, have noticed a decrease in revenue. Finally, it demonstrates that the majority of respondents (about 82%) experienced issues with covid limitations, which resulted in the temporary shutdown of their enterprises. About 10 percent of the businesses, especially wholesalers and vegetable vendors, were having difficulty supplying supplies due to excessive demand, and the shops could only stay open with significant restrictions. In addition, about 8 percent of small enterprises are experiencing an increase in the price of raw materials. As a result, the covid-19 epidemic has had a major effect on small enterprises throughout Nagaland.
