Abstract :
The effects of continuous and interval training exercise programs on the anthropometric and some biochemical parameters of physically active university students for a period of 6 weeks was studied. The result revealed that a short-term exercise program regime does not cause any changes in anthropometric parameter except for the waist diameter/width. However, the biochemical parameters assayed were shown to have no significant difference except for the glutathione reductase and catalase activity which shows a significant difference. This observation may be due to short duration of the study; hence the need for longer duration with large number of human subjects in the subsequent research is solicited.
