Abstract :
The concept of breaking the glass ceiling symbolizes the efforts to overcome unseen barriers preventing women from advancing to higher positions in various industries, including housekeeping. Women in the housekeeping sector often encounter significant challenges, with many relegated to low-skilled positions such as room attendants, cleaners, and kitchen assistants. This research aims to explore the specific hurdles that hinder women`s career progression in housekeeping and to identify factors influencing their advancement. By examining these challenges and factors, this study seeks to contribute to the development of strategies that promote gender equality and empower women to ascend to leadership roles within the housekeeping industry.
