Abstract :
Mobile Adhoc networks is the latest trend in networking arena and in research criterion. Many issues exist. Most important being routing, security and power issues. This paper is an effort to improve power functions of protocols. Two Algorithms have been proposed. This work has been done on two most popular routing protocols AODV and DSR used in on demand routing. The concept has been implemented and simulated. The results have been verified by simulating the protocols on NS2. Various metrics used are total energy consumed and packets exhausted.

Key-Words / Index Term :
AODV, DSR, energy, NS2, Simulator
