  Abstract
  This paper addresses a mathematical model for pollutant and dissolved oxygen concentrations in a river. The physical and mass conservation laws governing the interaction of pollutant and dissolved oxygen are expressed as non-linear one-dimensional, time-dependent, coupled partial differential equations and are solved numerically, for zero-diffusion case, using fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. Time required for the pollutant to decay completely and dissolved oxygen to reach its saturation level is obtained graphically through simulation study. A particular case of the River Kshipra (Madhya Pradesh, India) is studied in detail. The result indicates the self-purification ability of the river at four different monitoring stations along its stretch in Ujjain city, using some standard parameters of water quality. The study is motivated by the pathetic condition of the river, as it receives large amount of untreated sewage daily. This study provides a better understanding of the complex phenomena of pollution transportation in the River Kshipra.

  Abstract
  Survey report on predicting positive Coronary Artery Disease from symptoms and evolving a diagnostic package for the 128 sliced computed tomography for a multispecialty hospital by using six sigma methodologies. Materials and methods Dynamic 128-slice Computed Tomography Scan was performed in patients admitted to the radiology department among October 2013 to January 2014. This paper deals with the data based decision making process by implementing Zero defect quality, Six Sigma methodologies. The presentation makes an attempt to study the “Existing process of numerous data generation” towards zero defect quality and make the Computed Tomography Scan diagnostic intelligent technology aware among the common man in bringing awareness on “Early Detection, Prediction and Prevention”. To continuously upgrade the technology for an early diagnosis and to render excellent quality treatment to the patients.

  Abstract
  This study analyzes laminar forced convection flow in parallel plate micro-channel with slip velocity and temperature jump. Closed-form solutions are obtained for temperature, bulk temperature and rate of heat transfer when both walls of the channel are kept at unequal temperatures. The effects of various controlling parameters such as rarefaction parameter, fluid-wall interaction parameter and Brinkman number on the thermal behavior and rate of heat transfer are discussed with the aid of line graphs. Interesting result from the present work is that increase in rarefaction parameter leads to enhancement in fluid temperature while increase in fluid-wall interaction parameter leads to increase in temperature jump on the walls of the channel. In addition, the rate of heat transfer represented as the Nusselt number at the both walls of the channel displays an unbounded swing which varies with increase in fluid-wall interaction and rarefaction parameters.

  Abstract
  People shy away from inferior goods and for this reason, most people prefer foreign goods to home-made goods thereby rendering some industries in Nigeria redundant. Due to the problem of producing less quality bread, some of the companies are not in existence especially bread making companies. This problem of collapses of some companies prompted us into carrying out this research work so as to assess if the bread made by Federal University Wukari is of high standard and void of consumers’ complaints. The following Statistical methods; Chi Square, analysis of variance and quality control charts were used to assess the quality of the bread produced at Federal University Wukari. Data on two major components; sugar content and butter content used in making bread were collected from the company’s production process Register for four (4) consecutive times in a day. The data spanned a period of thirty five (35) days at an interval of seven (7) days per month, from december2015 to April 2016. The results from the chi square and analysis of variance indicated that sugar and butter content used in the production of federal University Wukari’s bread is statistically in-control. Also, with the use of mean chart and range chart, the results indicated that sugar content used in the production is statistically in-control but that of the butter content is not statistically in control as indicated in the control charts.
