Abstract :
In this research article we discuss some properties of ideal topological spaces commonly denoted as (X,τ,I) and give a few characterizations of ideal topological spaces. With the help of the existing topology τ on X and the ideal I on X, a new topology called τ* is introduced and the properties of (X,τ) as well as (X, τ*) are discussed in details.
