Abstract :
In Sample survey Auxiliary information is widely used for estimation procedure to find out population parameters of interest in small area. Various sampling schemes are used by several authors. Double sampling scheme is effective in term of cost and application. In this paper a generalized composite regression with ratio estimator where weights assigned to both regression and ratio estimator and a generalized composite regression with product estimator where weights assigned to both regression and product estimators with double sampling scheme in sample survey using of auxiliary data are proposed. The variance of proposed estimator is presented. Hypothetical environments for which the proposed estimators are showing better results than simple mean, regression estimator and respectively with ratio and product estimator is obtained. Empirical study is performed on the known data set and the Percent Relative efficiency (PRE) of the proposed estimators has shown the degree of superiority with respect to existing estimators.
